The District Child Welfare Council (Bal Bhawan), Ambala functions as a district branch of the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare(Hqs.), Chandigarh. It's overall aim is to ensure the welfare, development, protection and holistic growth of children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
